Carpe Diem – Fibonacci Sequence

Something new, at least to me, today at Carpe Diem. Write a poem based on the Fibonacci Sequence – translating the number into syllables per line: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21 and so on. I was particularly intrigued so I had to give it a try. My thoughts and writing take me to unexpected places, always.

like

hawks soar

eye their prey

drift in warm currents

cruise control, on autopilot

In our recliners, asleep at the wheel, we watch

Our middle name complaisance, but fighting the good fight, we tell ourselves
